Dr. Julie Colton, LAc, DACM
Acupuncturist in Ardsley, NY

Julie has always been fascinated by the intelligence of the human body. She earned her degree in Cellular Biology and Fine Mathematics with a clear plan ahead of her: become a physician. Science, she believed, held the answers to healing.
Life had a different plan. When her daughter was diagnosed with autism, Julie stepped off the path she had mapped out and onto one she never expected.
She searched for every possible way to help her daughter thrive. Along the way, she discovered that true healing extends far beyond the physical body. That search led her to Yoga, Reiki, Pilates, Music, and other mind-body practices, each one revealing a new dimension of health and resilience.
Her curiosity eventually brought her to Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she found what she had been looking for all along: the bridge between the scientific understanding she’d always valued and the holistic approach she had come to embrace.
Julie earned her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and became nationally certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. Today, she brings together her scientific foundation and the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, combining functional medicine with Eastern and Western nutrition to treat the whole person, not just the symptom. She specializes in women’s health and pain relief, offering thoughtful, personalized care for every patient who sits across from her.
Having lived through her own overwhelming health journey, Julie understands that healing is about more than relieving symptoms. It’s about helping people reclaim their health, restore their vitality, and return to living the life they were meant to live. Her patients leave every visit feeling heard, supported, and never alone in the process.
